Are there any additional fees or delivery charges on top of the eGift card's value?
There are no additional fees, taxes or service charges when you order an eGift card. Our gifting platform is completely free to use whenever you make a purchase.
Do you offer credit terms or payment on invoice for bulk business orders?
Yes. We can offer credit terms, or payment after order via BACS subject to credit checks and annual spend minimums.
Do you offer any discounts for bulk purchases or large order volumes?
Yes. If you are spending over £10,000 we may be able to offer a discount. Contact us for more information.
Are we able to reclaim VAT on the eGift card purchases, or are they exempt?
E-gift cards are exempt from VAT.
Do eGift cards count as cash vouchers or anything that needs to be reported to HMRC for employee gifting?
Yes - eGift cards are classed as cash vouchers by HMRC. This means they can be exchanged for goods or services, making them a taxable benefit unless they fall under a specific exemption (like the trivial benefit rules). If they don't meet exemption criteria, they must be reported via P11D and are subject to income tax and National Insurance.
If I gift eGift cards under £50 to an employee, do they qualify as a tax-free trivial benefit under HMRC rules?
Yes - but only if certain conditions are met. Under the HMRC Trivial Benefits exemption, a gift card can be tax-free if: 1. The value is £50 or less 2. It's not a reward for work or performance 3. It's not part of a salary sacrifice or contractual agreement 4. It's given in a personal context (e.g. birthday, Christmas, staff morale)
Can I offer eGift cards to employees via a salary sacrifice scheme?
Not tax-efficiently. eGift cards cannot be included in a salary sacrifice scheme in a way that gives tax or NIC advantages. Since April 2017, most benefits provided via salary sacrifice are subject to Income Tax and NICs on the higher of the salary given up or the benefit received.
What is your refund policy on eGift cards?
We can offer a full refund on any eGift card order that has been placed, but where you haven't yet issued a link to the recipient.
How quickly will recipients get their eGift cards after I place an order?
Gift cards are delivered instantly once you provide your recipient's email address, unless you ask us to hold off on sending the email until a certain date.
When do the gift cards expire?
Our gift cards expire 1 year after your recipient activates it on our platform. This means you never have to worry about expiry dates on cards that you don't send straight away.
Can I schedule the eGift card delivery for a specific date or time?
Yes. You choose a specific date for any of your recipients (or include it in your secure upload), and tell us to send the email between 1 and 8 days prior to that date, or on the day itself.
Can I see which gift cards have been redeemed or claimed by my recipients?
Yes. You can see full details of which recipients have redeemed their gift in your account, and send automatic reminders if needed.
Can I include a personal message to each recipient with their eGift card?
Yes. You can include a personalised message, and optionally choose an ecard that your recipient will see when they redeem the gift.
Can I brand or add my logo to the redemption page?
Yes. And the best part - it's free! You can brand the redemption page and add your company's assets in your account.
