Our Charity Partners

Since WellBox was launched, part of our mission has been to give back to those in need while spreading joy with our gifts.  With every gift you send, you’ll be donating to one of the amazing charities that we’ve partnered with.

Below is a list of all the charities that we’re currently partnered with.  As we grow, we hope to keep adding to this list with more charities around the UK (if you’re a charity based in Northern Ireland who would be interested in partnering with us, please do get in touch!).

As one of the first charities that we partnered within our home city of Manchester, Barnabus has been supporting people experiencing homelessness for over 30 years. Their mission is to empower people to build new lives by finding a new home.

Another of our local charities, Lifeshare have been partnered with us since we launched WellBox. Established in 1984, they are Manchester’s oldest charity dedicated to supporting homeless and vulnerable people in Greater Manchester.

Caring in Bristol

Covering the South-West of England, Caring in Bristol work across several projects helping people who are sleeping rough but also helping support people so they don’t end up on the street in the first place.

The Bus Shelter MK

Based in Milton Keynes, The Bus Shelter use their converted double-decker bus to provide shelter, food, and support to rough sleepers who are looking to make the right progress towards a life of independence away from the streets.

Matthew’s House

Our Welsh partner, Matthew’s House is a home in the heart of Swansea that aims to provide hospitality and hope to anyone who walks through its doors.  Launched in early 2017 with a pay-as-you-feel waste food café called Matt’s Café, they have added more services as they’ve grown including Matt’s Laundry and Matt’s Cwtsh.

Steps to Hope

Steps to Hope are dedicated to caring for the homeless and those suffering from addiction in Edinburgh.  Over half of their volunteers are addicts in recovery who understand addiction and homelessness but more importantly know how to achieve a new way of life.

The Soup Kitchen

Established in 1986, The Soup Kitchen is a resource for the homeless, elderly, lonely and vulnerable in London.  They provide free nutritious meals, clothing, toiletries and a sense of belonging to over 150 of their friends each day.

The Trussell Trust

A nationwide charity, The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and together they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.

Mind believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.  They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health.  They also provide advice and support to empower anyone who experiences a mental health problem.

Manchester Mind

Manchester Mind is a local independent charity, in our home city, which has been promoting better mental health for over 35 years. Currently, 8,000 young people and adults access their services, which include youth counselling, welfare rights advice, peer support groups, emergency food provision and more.
Your gifts include a letter letting the recipient know which charity their box has supported. We’ve found that recipients love finding out that their gift has helped support someone in need.

If you have a preference of which charity you’d like your gifts to support, please reply to your order confirmation email letting us know and our customer orders team will be happy to help!
